Verdict on #Okinawa outbreak is out. It wasnt EG.5.1 driving cases there. But Arcturus as in India earlier in March. Notable XBB.1.16 got a S:E748Q interesting mutation in many samples there. XBB.1.16 is around 40-50% of the 200 samples collected in Okinawa in July.
