A BRAVE victim of acid thug Arthur Collins has bared her scars as she bids to win the Miss England beauty contest 15 months after the horrific nightclub attack.
Sophie Hall, 22, was left with permanent scars following the shocking incident at Mangle nightclub in East London.
And she has now posed in a red bikini after making it to the semi-finals of the prestigious competition – revealing a scar on her left shoulder.
She was pictured at Resorts World in Birmingham for the contest and will now take part in the final next month.
Sophie said she is “really proud” of what she has achieved and is delighted to get to the final, describing it as a “ big achievement”.
Last month Sophie relived the moment Collins hurled the corrosive substance in her face, saying it felt like she was “on fire”.
Collins, who is the ex-boyfriend of former Towie star Ferne McCann, was jailed for 20 years after the attack left 18 revellers injured.
Sophie opened up about the terrifying ordeal in April 2017 and said the “power” of the acid hitting her in the face “knocked her to the ground”.
But she revealed how entering the beauty pageant has given her a confidence boost and that she wanted to put a “positive spin” on what happened.
Speaking on Good Morning Britain, she described the moment the acid hit her in the face.
She said: “It actually took me off my chair, so it was as if someone had physically punched me, because it knocked me and I fell on the floor.
“I felt like I was on fire and I felt kike that somebody was going to set fire to us and it took me a couple of minutes to realise it was acid.”
Explaining why she entered the contest, she said: “I wanted to be remembered as something different. I didn’t want to be remembered as the acid attack victim.
“I wanted to have a positive impact and perhaps inspire people and not only build my confidence, but help other victims out there that may be having a tough time and to show that you can still go on and achieve fantastic things.
“There’s so much to overcome and I’ve found there’s lots of rounds in this competition that you have to take part in and it has helped me rebuild different parts of my life - it’s helped me massively.”
