About Ms. Yoko Wakatsuki, Producer, CNN

Yoko Wakatsuki is Tokyo-based producer for CNN.
She is responsible to produce news reports from Japan for CNN News Group.
Wakatsuki joined CNN in September 1996 and has covered
numerous news stories from Japan, including March 11 mega
quake/tsunami disasters and nuclear crisis, numerous political
leadership changes, U.S. Presidential visits. She also serves as
a liaison with relevant local authorities and key partners for
CNN's news coverage in Japan.
During the decade of her service, she also
covered the news in Hong Kong, Indonesia, Pakistan and South Korea,
such as Hong Kong handover to China, Indonesia's economic crisis and
North Korea Nuclear crisis. She was also a part of CNN's Emmy Award
winning team in covering the war in Afghanistan.
Prior to CNN, Wakatsuki worked for British Broadcasting Corporation's
radio and television service and the news agency United Press International
in Tokyo, Japan.
Wakatsuki, a Japanese native, earned a bachelor's degree in Politics and
Law from Rikkyo University in Tokyo.
