The summer heatwave has been pounding the UK with blistering temperatures since the middle of June, putting summer 2018 in the line to become the hottest one on record since 1976.
BBC Weather forecasted thermometers will rocket next week plunging the country into 32C degrees heat starting on Monday as an area of high pressure takes over the country.
BBC meteorologist Ben Rich said: "The further south and east you look long spells of sunshine and look at these temperatures. Orange colours spreading across the charts, 31C or 32C degrees looks likely as we go on through Monday afternoon.
"Weather system by this stage again will be steered away by the jet streams toward the north getting close enough to the north-west of the country to bring a little bit of patchy rain, certainly more rain for Scotland and Northern Ireland and a bit of rain in the far north-west."
