米マクドナルドは8日、ロシアで展開する全850店を一時閉鎖する方針を明らかにした。欧米の主要企業が相次ぎロシア事業の見直しを表明するなか、マクドナルドは明確な方針を示さず投資家などから批判の声が出ていた。

Amazon halts retail shipments to Russia and cuts off Prime Video
Amazon has suspended access to Prime Video in Russia, and the e-commerce giant is no longer shipping retail orders to customers in both Russia and Belarus, the company said Tuesday.
In addition, Amazon added, it is no longer selling New World, the company's recently released online multiplayer video game, in Russia.

Papa John's suspends all corporate operations in Russia
Papa John’s International announced Wednesday it has suspended all corporate operations in Russia, adding to a long roster of Western brands distancing themselves from Moscow following the invasion of Ukraine.
Up until now, Papa John’s had been among a shrinking group of major Western companies with a presence in Russia to keep its business intact there despite the outcry over the war in Ukraine.
Papa John’s said it has stopped all operational, marketing and business support to, and engagement with, the Russian market. However, the Papa John’s brand will still exist in Russia.

Metals and mining giant Rio Tinto is cutting ties with Russia.
A spokesman for the Anglo-Australian firm, which is headquartered in London, told Reuters it is "in the process of terminating all commercial relationships it has with any Russian business".

Construction giants pull out of Russia
Heavy equipment behemoths Caterpillar and John Deere are suspending their work with Russian partners.
Caterpillar said operations at its Russian-based manufacturing facilities had "become increasingly challenging, including supply chain disruptions and sanctions".
Meanwhile, John Deere said its machines would no longer be shipped to either Russia or Belarus, which has supported the invasion of Ukraine.
Both companies said they would donate to humanitarian relief efforts.
Other major manufacturers such as Komatsu, Hitachi and JCB have already halted exports to Russia.

Putin: Russia can take over foreign companies' assets
More from that televised meeting chaired by Russia president Vladimir Putin.
He says the Russian government can take over the assets of foreign companies pulling out of Russia.
He says Russia can "introduce external management" of those businesses closing their production facilities, and then "hand these enterprises to those who are willing to work."
"We'll find a legal way to do this," he says.

Deutsche Bank to wind down its business in Russia
The bank, which has its headquarters in Frankfurt, said: "Like some international peers and in line with our legal and regulatory obligations, we are in the process of winding down our remaining business in Russia while we help our non-Russian multinational clients in reducing their operations.
"There won't be any new business in Russia."

Nestle halts non-essential food exports and imports to Russia
Nestle has become the latest company to stop exporting and importing non-essential food items such as Nespresso coffee or San Pellegrino water from and to Russia, a spokesperson said today.
The Swiss food group had said already that it was halting investment in Russia in the wake of Moscow's invasion of Ukraine.

eBay blocking transactions to Russian addresses
Online auction site eBay has said that it is blocking all transactions involving Russian addresses.
"We stand with Ukraine and are taking a number of steps to support the Ukrainian people and our sellers in the region," a spokesperson for the California based company told the BBC on Saturday.
