The offending shirt featured the phrase "PATRIOTISM OURHISTORY LIBERATION KOREA" repeated multiple times alongside an image of an atomic bomb explosion and another of Koreans celebrating liberation.
BTS member Jimin reportedly wore the shirt last year, on August 15, the day on which Koreans celebrate the end of Japanese occupation in 1945.
Some Japanese fans of the band expressed disgust on Twitter that their show was cancelled over a T-shirt.

違反していたシャツは、原爆爆発のイメージと同時に、解放を祝う韓国人の一人と一緒に、「"PATRIOTISM OURHISTORY LIBERATION KOREA" 」という言葉を何回も繰り返した。

BTSのメンバージミンは、1945年に韓国人が日本からの解放を祝う日である8月15日、このシャツを着ていたと伝えられている。

日本のファンの中には、彼らのショーがTシャツで取り消されたという嫌悪感をTwitter上で表現した人もいます。

日本と韓国の関係は、日本の残酷な1910-1945年の植民地支配に起因する歴史と領土の激しい紛争によって悪化し続けている。
