ビル・ゲイツ氏は5月10日（現地時間）、新型コロナウイルスの検査を受けたところ、結果が陽性だったと自身のTwitterアカウントで明らかにした。すでにワクチンのブースター接種が済んでおり、症状は軽度としている。現在は専門家の指示に従い、回復するまで隔離措置を受けているという。
